This is a one on one class based in my Montreal Study to learn enough of the fundamentals of woodturning to continue the practice in your own time.

The class will begin with a safety run down and basic insight into tools we will use as well as the lathe itself. Once comfortable with the machine you will chose your bowl blank to mount onto the lathe. Once comfortable we will begin with rough cuts to get the feel for the tools and the machine. From there we will carve out the classic donut shape bowl. We will learn tool maintenance and sharpening along the way and finishing and oil once the bowl is finished. You’ll take home a new skill and a new bowl!

Classes will be approx 2.5hrs and can be booked after purcasing the course. Time slots are

Mondays 1pm-3.30pm and 5pm-7.30pm

Tuesdays 10am-12.30pm

Thursdays 6.30pm-9pm

Saturday 11am-1.30pm
